Camera lesson 2

Camera lesson 2
In today lesson we learned a bit more about camera techniques and also doing our little sequence scene. This is what I have learned today......

Sequence
Sequence is a series of shots which put next to each other that gives an illusion of it happening in the same time.

Sequence need different size of shots Close up, Mid and Wide

This is how we do the sequence scene

1st Film the wide shot (Whole location)
2nd Film the mid shot
3rd Film the close up

We also have to be careful about the "continuous" of the scene. This includes little details like hair or button therefore we have to make sure that in each scene everything is in the same place to make the sequence flow smoothly.

180 degrees Rule

This rule tell us that we can shoot only 180 degrees along the line of vision. Why? This is because if we shoot on the other side of line of vision, the objects we shooting will look like it swop position or change direction and therefore it might give the wrong message to the audience or confused them. This is why 180 degrees rule is very important.

Rule of third

Rule of third is how to make the composition look nice and beautiful. Since putting object right in the middle is quite boring, try  put it on the point of intersection it will look much better.

Keywords
This is the keywords they use to communicate between each section when they filming.

"Standby"          - Everyone ready
"Turn it over"     - Start recording
"Rolling"          - Camera man say to make sure
                     camera is recording
"Action"           - Start acting
"Cut"              - Stop
